Record-Breaking Film 'Paran' to Screen in Malaysia This February
Kathmandu. After establishing new records for earnings and popularity in the Nepali film industry, the movie Paran, starring Neer Shah, is set to be screened in Malaysia.
According to the production team, the film will be released in theaters across major Malaysian cities starting Saturday, February 14, 2026.
The distribution rights for the film in Malaysia have been purchased by Hari Bhattarai, the Asia-Pacific Coordinator of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).
He stated that there are approximately five hundred thousand Nepalis working in Malaysia, and showtimes have been scheduled according to their convenience and schedules.
Directed by Deepak Acharya (Kaku), Paran gained immense popularity in Nepal due to strong word-of-mouth. It has also earned the title of the highest-grossing Nepali film of the year 2082 so far.
The film is produced by Shekhar Golchha and Ranjit Acharya, and features lead actors Neer Shah, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Mahesh Tripathi, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Anjana Baraili, and Pravin Khatiwada, among others.
