‘Panch Pandav’ Locks Release Date; RR Films to Distribute Nationwide

Kathmandu. The movie ‘Panch Pandav,’ which has been in the news due to its lineup, has locked its release date. ‘Panch Pandav’ is set to be released during Tihar.

Targeting the Tihar holidays, the film ‘Panch Pandav’ is getting ready to come before the audience. Along with the date being locked, Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha’s RR Films will distribute this cinema nationwide.

Presenter Nabin Shrestha stated that the release date was announced on a good day. Shrestha says, “We announced the release date in consultation with the distribution team. Since we chose a good date, we are confident that the business will also be good.”

Rohit Kattel of RR Films, who took over the responsibility of film distribution, mentioned that they are very excited about ‘Panch Pandav.’

Sharing his views on the distribution, Kattel said, “We took the responsibility of distribution after looking at the film’s content and the strong lineup of actors in it. During a big festival like Tihar, what the audience seeks is complete entertainment, which this film will provide. We are confident that ‘Panch Pandav’ will be successful both commercially and artistically, which is why we chose this excellent date.”

The cinema has also become highly anticipated due to preparations to make the subject, actors, production team, and technical aspects strong.

In the film, Hari Bansha Acharya, Jitu Nepal, Aryan Sigdel, Mahesh Tripathi, and Sushil Sitaula are in the main roles of the ‘Panch Pandav.’ Deepa Shree Niraula, Sarita Giri, Binod Neupane, Rama Thapaliya, Prashant Tamrakar, and model Eva Giri, among others, will be in the main roles.

Being produced under the banner of Kali Rani Films, this movie is being directed by director Basanta Niraula. The filming of this movie, which started after a dynamic inauguration on Chaitra 2 from the Nepal-India border town of Kakarbhitta, features legendary and popular new-generation artists of the Nepali cinema industry working together.

Writer Sushil Paudel has clarified that the movie ‘Panch Pandav’ is a ‘social drama.’ The story, screenplay, and dialogue are by Sushil Paudel. According to him, the film will present the story of contemporary Nepali society by using the characters and symbols of the five Pandavas from the Mahabharata.

Nabin Shrestha had previously produced the movie ‘Laaj Sharanam’ last year.

The movie is being produced by Kali Rani Shrestha. According to the production team, most of the film's scenes will be shot in scenic and important locations in Jhapa, while the remaining filming will take place in locations within the Kathmandu Valley.

Currently, grand interior scenes are being filmed for ‘Panch Pandav’ at the HMC New Hikola Hotel in Jhapa. Director Niraula stated that after finishing at that location, the team will set out for other locations.

The movie is being shot by Shyam Tamang. The distribution of the film will be handled by RR Films.
