Ministry of Foreign Affairs Advises Online Voting for NRNA Elections

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided its opinion via letter to ensure that the 12th General Convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) is conducted by guaranteeing online participation according to the organization's bylaws.

In the letter sent to the Association, the Ministry stated, "As per the provisions in Article 14 and Article 21.10 of the Non-Resident Nepali Association Bylaws 2003 (2022 Amendment), elections can be held either online or through physical presence.

For representatives who cannot be physically present, arrangements for online voting must be made. Therefore, it is the opinion of this Ministry, as per instructions, that it would be appropriate to move forward with the NRNA election process by ensuring maximum physical attendance while allowing those unable to attend to participate online in accordance with the bylaws."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that ensuring the participation of Non-Resident Nepalis scattered across the globe is the Association's responsibility and urged for the necessary technical and managerial preparations to be made accordingly.
