NRNA Steering Committee Sets Roadmap for 12th General Convention
The third meeting of the NRNA Steering Committee, chaired by former President Binod Kunwar, has approved key resolutions to facilitate the upcoming 12th General Convention and strengthen organizational unity.
Key Decisions:
Election Commission: Former High Court Judge Tej Bahadur Karki has been appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner. The association will proceed with a formal written agreement to initiate the electoral process.
Government Coordination: The committee will invite representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Law to its next meeting to ensure legal and diplomatic alignment for the upcoming convention.
NCC Unity Framework: The Terms of Reference (ToR) prepared by the NCC Unity Facilitation Committee were officially approved to streamline the merger of national chapters.
Membership Integration: General Secretary B.R. Lama, in coordination with President Mahesh Kumar Shrestha, will integrate current membership data into the central IT system to finalize the voter list.
The meeting, moderated by General Secretary Babu Ram (B.R.) Lama, marks a significant step toward a unified and transparent electoral cycle for the global diaspora body.
