NRNA President Meets Minister Jagdish Kharel

NRNA (Non-Resident Nepali Association) President Dr. Badri KC congratulated Jagdish Kharel on his appointment as Minister for Communication and Information Technology.

During a meeting held on Thursday evening at Minister Kharel’s office in Singha Durbar, Dr. KC, on behalf of the association, requested policy arrangements to ensure full citizenship rights for non-resident Nepalis through constitutional amendment, guarantee of voting rights, investment security, and facilitation of skill and knowledge transfer in education, health, technology, tourism, and other sectors.

Similarly, Dr. KC stated that the association believes social security for migrant workers and the utilization of their skills and capital in productive sectors within Nepal must be facilitated.

The association expressed confidence that the interim government formed after the historic Gen-Z movement would succeed and reaffirmed its commitment that non-resident Nepalis across the globe stand ready to cooperate for the prosperity of their motherland.

Also present at the meeting were NRNA Advisor T.B. Karki, former ICC member Santosh Bhattarai, former President of the National Coordination Council Israel Dipak Oli, Chief Executive Officer Rajendra Kumar Raut, among others.
