NRNA and AIU to Hold MBBS Scholarship Exam Tomorrow
January 2, 2026
The selection exam for the MBBS scholarship program, organized by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) in collaboration with Asian International University (AIU), will take place tomorrow, Saturday.
This program will provide full scholarships to two Nepali students for a six-year MBBS degree. The exam is scheduled to start at 11:00 AM at the Institute of Engineering (IOE) in Pulchowk, Kathmandu.
The entrance exam will follow the syllabus set by the Medical Education Commission. All participating students have already received their admit cards via mobile and email. Candidates are reminded that late entry is not allowed and electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
This initiative by the NRNA and AIU aims to support two Nepali students with a complete scholarship package. The program was created because Nepal faces a shortage of healthcare workers, which often leads to patients losing their lives due to a lack of timely treatment.
Many health centers across the country struggle with a shortage of medicine, equipment, and skilled staff. To help solve this problem, these organizations are offering this six-year scholarship to talented students who are financially weak and have passed the Medical Education Commission's exams.
The two selected students will be required to return to Nepal after finishing their studies to serve in the health sector for at least two years.
Additionally, the university will cover all costs, including tuition, food, and housing. It is expected that this effort will help improve healthcare access in Nepal and reduce the shortage of medical professionals in the long run.
