News 24 Daily Begins Publication from Tuesday
Kathmandu — The management team of Nepal Broadcasting Channel (NBC) Limited has officially entered the print media through Nepal News Publications Pvt. Ltd., launching the News 24 Daily newspaper from today (Tuesday). With this step into the print domain, the management aims to promote reading culture and further strengthen the public’s right to information through a daily newspaper.
NBC Chairman Anil Joshi stated that the move into print media was based on the need to carry forward the practice of journalism not only through television but also through newspapers.
Adis Joshi, who is also the Executive Director of both NBC and Nepal News Publications Pvt. Ltd., expressed confidence that this decision to enter print media will contribute significantly to Nepal’s media sector.
Tirtha Koirala has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of *News 24 Daily*. With over four decades of experience in weekly magazines, daily newspapers, as well as television and online journalism, the management believes that under Koirala’s leadership, News 24 Daily will become just as impactful and popular as News 24 Television, which operates under NBC.
