Nepali Security Guard Killed in UAE Following Iranian Drone Attack
KATHMANDU. It has been confirmed that Diwas Shrestha from Gorkha lost his life in the UAE following an Iranian attack. The Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi and NRNA UAE have identified Shrestha, who was working as a security guard, as the deceased.
On Monday, the Nepali Embassy issued a press release stating that Shrestha died while drones were being neutralized at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi. He was employed by the Middle East Company.
The Nepali Embassy stated that the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed them of the death of 29-year-old Shrestha during the incident. It has been mentioned that efforts are being made to facilitate the repatriation of his mortal remains to Nepal.
Furthermore, all Nepalis in the UAE have been urged to exercise restraint and remain in safe locations. The embassy has also requested full compliance with all security standards issued by the UAE government.
NRNA stated that the Nepali Embassy is ready to facilitate all necessary tasks, including the repatriation of 29-year-old Shrestha's body to his home country.
