Nepali Army Bus Accident in Bhojpur, 24 Injured
Bhojpur – A bus belonging to the Nepali Army met with an accident in Bhojpur district. The bus (registration number Na. 4 Kha 7317), carrying a team from the Shreenath Battalion heading to Temkemaiyung to establish a base camp for election security, crashed at Seti Bagar in Bhojpur Municipality–4, Dawa.
A total of 24 personnel were injured in the accident. According to DSP Raju Lama, chief of the District Police Office, two individuals — a Jamdar and a soldier — were unharmed. There were altogether 26 people on board the bus.
DSP Lama stated that around nine of the injured are in serious condition. Two helicopters have been called to airlift them to Kathmandu for further treatment. The remaining injured personnel, who are in stable condition, are receiving treatment at Bhojpur Hospital.
The bus reportedly fell approximately 500 meters off the road.
