Nepal Weather Forecast: Rain, Thunder, and Snowfall Possible
Kathmandu – Nepal is currently experiencing the partial influence of a western disturbance, a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, and a low-pressure area located near the eastern region of the country.
At present, the hilly and mountainous regions of Nepal are generally experiencing cloudy conditions. Some areas of the Terai and valleys are also witnessing fog and haze.
This afternoon, generally cloudy conditions are expected in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in other hilly regions of the country, while the remaining areas will see partly cloudy skies. Fog and haze may persist in a few locations of the Terai and valley areas.
There is a possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, along with snowfall in some places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Similar weather is also likely in a few locations in the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, and in one or two places in the Terai areas of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Tonight, generally cloudy conditions are expected in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Other areas will experience partly cloudy weather. There is also a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall, in one or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
