Nepal Weather Forecast: Western Low-Pressure System Update
Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the country is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system. Additionally, fog has formed in some locations of the Terai region.
While the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will generally remain cloudy, there will be partial cloud cover in Madhesh province, the remaining parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the Himalayan and hilly regions of other provinces. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two locations within the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Similarly, tonight, haze will occur in some parts of the Terai. While Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will experience partial cloud cover, the weather will remain mostly clear in the remaining provinces.
There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two locations of the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi province. The Division has requested residents of the areas where fog, haze, and snowfall are forecast, as well as everyone involved in daily activities including transportation, to operate with caution.
