Nepali Congress-Affiliated Nepal Students' Union Files Complaint Against Mayor Balen Shah and Sudan Gurung

The Nepal Students' Union (NSU), a student organization affiliated with the Nepali Congress, has filed a complaint against Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah and the founder of Hami Nepal, Sudan Gurung.

On Sunday, NSU Central Committee members Manish Jung Thapa, Ashok Singh Bista, and Bijay Shah jointly signed and lodged the specific complaint against Shah and Gurung at the Kathmandu Police Complex.

Following the filing of the complaint, Central Committee member Bista told reporters, "We have filed the complaint. We demand that the complaint be registered within 24 hours and that those involved in the incident be arrested and prosecuted."

The NSU has accused the two of involvement in the vandalism and arson that took place at government offices, including Singha Durbar and the Supreme Court, as well as at the homes of political leaders, during the 'Gen Z' group's protest on September 8 and 9.
