Motion Teaser of Nepali Film ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ Unveiled

Kathmandu – The motion teaser of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ has been officially released. The teaser was launched by the production team on Tuesday.

The teaser opens with a scene outside the Morang District Prison, where a man lights a cigarette. He then flips a coin, which lands at the center of a rotating wheel revealing a puzzle.

The puzzle begins by showing a knife, followed by four individuals dressed in yellow attire. As the teaser progresses, visuals of fire and money flying out of a bag appear before it concludes.The motion teaser hints at the intense struggle driven by greed for money.

‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ is set to release in Nepali on Bhadra 27 (September 12, 2025). The Hindi version will be released on Ashoj 6 (September 22, 2025) and is expected to have a worldwide release, according to producer Binod Paudel.

The film narrates the story of an individual caught in a vicious trap of temptation and his battle to escape it.

Currently in post-production, ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ features Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Sarita Giri, Gaumaya Gurung, Laxmi Bardewa, Shishir Wangdel, Kiran Shrestha, Prakash Dahal, and Sushma Niraula in lead roles.

Presented by Seven Seas Cinema, the film is directed by Sushant Gautam, marking his directorial debut. The screenplay is penned by Mukesh Khanal, with Madan Thapa serving as the creative director.

The film is produced by Binod Paudel and Gunjan Giri, with Ramesh Chaulagai and Hari Shrestha as co-producers. The executive producers are Bishal Lama, Hari Moktan, Krishna Bhattarai, Nirajan Luitel, and Sandesh Shrestha.

The line producer is Jeevan Shakya, Aakash Ukheda is the chief assistant director, Madan Ghimire is the editor, and Saroj Shrestha is the production controller. The cinematography is done by Sharad Mahato.
