‘Mohar Evening’ Successfully Held in Pokhara with Massive Crowd and Film Promotion

A grand promotional event titled ‘Mohar Evening’ was successfully organized at Prithvichowk, Pokhara, ahead of the nationwide release of the Nepali film Mohar, scheduled for August 8 (Shrawan 23). The event attracted a large and enthusiastic crowd, thrilling fans who had long been awaiting the movie.

The main highlights of the program were special performances by actor Paul Shah and singer Thaneshwar Gautam, along with powerful appearances by other cast members. The lively, musical atmosphere turned Prithvichowk into a festive gathering place.

Paul Shah received a warm and energetic welcome from the audience. A cake-cutting ceremony on stage celebrated his arrival, clearly showing Pokhara's love and support for both the actor and the film.

Mohar is expected to bring a fresh flavor to Nepali cinema through its compelling story, engaging presentation, and dedicated performances. This promotional style has also helped strengthen the bond between audiences and artists.

The film revolves around themes rooted in western Nepal’s rural lifestyle, addressing social conflict, love, and cultural identity. Actor Paul Shah shared that Mohar aims to connect musical emotions with human experiences in a heartfelt narrative.

Starring Paul Shah in the lead role, the film addresses serious topics such as family relationships, betrayal in love, and self-respect. The production team believes Mohar will especially resonate with young audiences and those from rural backgrounds.

At the event, Paul Shah thanked the crowd and described Mohar as one of the most special films of his career. He said the story is deeply personal to him and believes it will touch the hearts of viewers.

Singer Thaneshwar Gautam performed one of Mohar’s songs, highlighting its roots in folk tradition. He added that the film’s other songs also reflect contemporary folk sentiments and emotions.

From a musical, narrative, and visual perspective, Mohar is expected to stand out as a unique creation. With its cultural depth, participation of popular actors, and emotionally rich music, the film is believed to hold great potential in the Nepali film industry.

Written and directed by Om Pratik, Mohar stars Paul Shah alongside Arjun Jung Shahi, Benisha Hamal, Niti Shah, Mithila Sharma, Rabindra Jha, Laxmi Giri, Miss Pabi, and others. The film is presented by Film Maker Pvt. Ltd., with Chumbanjung Shahi as the producer.
