Midhill Highway Galkot Section Blocked

A landslide has blocked the Galkot section of the Midhill Highway in Baglung district.

According to Traffic Police Constable Prakash Giri from the temporary traffic post at Kharbang, the highway was completely obstructed after a landslide fell onto the road from above at Kauche in Ward No. 11 of Galkot Municipality, due to heavy rainfall last night.

Police reported that travelers heading to Pokhara and Kathmandu from Jajarkot, Rukum, Rolpa, Dolpa, Gulmi, and western Baglung, as well as those going to Butwal from Bihu, Galkot, and Tarakhola, have been affected. Efforts are underway to clear the highway.
