Community-Based Disaster Response Training Begins in Melamchi

A four-day community-based initiative training for disaster response has been launched in Melamchi through the collaboration of Melamchi Municipality and RIMES.

Inaugurating the program, Melamchi Municipality Deputy Mayor Uma Pradhan, Chief Administrative Officer Nimesh Mishra, RIMES Country Head Pooja Shakya, and Nepal Red Cross Society Central Program Coordinator Bhojraj Ghimire, among others, highlighted the objectives and importance of the training.

Participants from various wards of Melamchi are taking part in the training. According to the organizers, the training aims to strengthen community-level disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and effective response capacity.
