Filming of Movie 'Maya Bhanekai Yasto Hola' Completed
Kathmandu. The filming of the movie 'Maya Bhanekai Yasto Hola' has been completed.
The production team informed that the filming of this movie, directed by actress Rekha Thapa, concluded on the 28th day.
Film coordinator Rajan Ghimire stated that the regular shooting of 'Maya Bhanekai Yasto Hola', which began on Falgun 25 and was shot in various locations around Kathmandu, has come to an end.
Actress Rekha has returned to direction after 8 years through 'Maya Bhanekai Yasto Hola'. Having already directed films like 'Himmatwali' and 'Malika', this is her third directorial feature cinema.
Focusing entirely on direction rather than acting this time, Rekha is working on a film outside her own banner 'Rekha Films'.
This is possibly the first time in Nepali film history that an established female director has directed a film for an outside banner.
Produced under the banner of 'Diya and Amu Films', this movie features a jumbo team of legendary figures from the Nepali art sector to current popular faces.
The movie stars Madan Krishna Shrestha and Dil Shrestha, along with former Miss Nepal's Shristi Shrestha, Namrata Shrestha, and former Miss Nepal International Niti Shah in lead roles. Former Miss Nepal Usha Khadgi also appears in a special role. In this sense, the movie features four Miss Nepals together.
Produced under the banner of 'Diya and Amu Films', the movie also features performances by Laxmi Giri, Bishal Pahadi, Sangam Bhandari, Rabi Dangol, Sunita Shrestha, and Binod Paudel, among others.
Previously, the production side had released two posters during the formal announcement of the film. The two released posters showcased the emotional and romantic avatars of the artists.
In one poster, Dil Shrestha was shown with three actresses: Shristi Shrestha, Namrata Shrestha, and Niti Shah. All three actresses were dressed in red attire (Lehenga and Sari). The closeness between Dil Shrestha and Namrata Shrestha was reflected, while the expressions of Shristi and Niti Shah appeared somewhat serious.
In another poster, actor Dil was included in an emotional pose with an elderly man (artist Madan Krishna Shrestha). The pose of Dil Shrestha sitting on the floor holding the hand of Madan Krishna Shrestha, who was sitting in a wheelchair, presented a story of a child's duty and support in old age.
Produced by Hari Narayan Shrestha and Maya Devi Shrestha, the film is said to raise social sentiments and settings through a sweet love story.
Dhruba Lamsal is the screenwriter for this movie. Returning to writing after 10 years, he mentioned that a lot of effort was put into the script.
The film, cinematographed by Sudip Baral, includes Aniruddha Atreya as the chief assistant director, Rajan Ghimire as the film coordinator, music by Prashant Siwakoti, dress design by Sujeni Malla, makeup by Priya Karki, and production by Chudamani (CM).
The production team aims to release the film in theaters across the country on the occasion of next year's Teej.
