'Malati Mangale' to Release on Baisakh 25; Teaser Showcases a Poignant Love Story

The official teaser for the highly anticipated Nepali film 'Malati Mangale,' which is set to hit theaters across the country on Baisakh 25 (May 8), has been released. Produced and presented by singer Ram Krishna Dhakal, the film's teaser offers a glimpse into an interesting and poignant love story set in a rural environment. Filmed against the backdrop of rural society from a few years ago, the teaser artistically presents various aspects of love, trust, and suspicion.

Released on OSR Digital, the teaser depicts the journey of Vijay Baral and Barsha Raut from their first meeting to their marriage. In one piece of dialogue, Vijay is heard making a loving promise to Barsha, saying, "The day tears fall from your eyes because of me, consider Mangale as good as dead."

However, life after marriage does not seem so easy. In the latter half of the teaser, Vijay is seen assaulting Barsha in front of villagers, venting his anger by saying, "You betrayed me," while Malati (Barsha) appears shocked and emotional. Another lead actor, Maixam Gaudel, is seen scolding Vijay, signaling conflict in the story, although the teaser ends with some romantic scenes between the two characters.

Directed by Praku Pandey, the film was produced under the banner of Rani Films in collaboration with Uni Entertainment. The story was written by Director Pandey himself, while the screenplay and dialogues are by Sanyog Guragain. Previously, two songs from the film, "Sunaiko Sapani" and "Dhunga Mathi Leu," have already been released. According to producer Dhakal, this film is not the lyrical drama by National Poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire, but rather a distinct musical love story based on our own society's environment.

The film features performances by Vijay Baral, Barsha Raut, and Maixam Gaudel, alongside Narin Thapa, Mansu Sapkota, Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Sushma Niraula, Sunil Tamang, Umesh Sunam, Shaku Shah, Suchitra Upreti, Dinesh Shahi, Rijan Pariyar, Tara Sharma, Gita Shree, Raj Pangeni, Sushmita Gurung, and Sagar Bhattarai. Sagar Gyawali is the executive producer, while the co-producers include Babu Subedi, Rabin Shrestha, Bedana Karmacharya, Padmavati Gurung, Swikriti Basnet, and Milan Bajgain.

On the technical side, the film features cinematography by Mahesh Paudel, editing by Romi Moses, color grading by Krishna Bhandari, and sound mixing by Dikesh Khadgi. The songs feature lyrics by Harka Saud, music by SD Yogi, and arrangements by Rikesh Gurung, with video choreography by Roshan Bik. The film will be distributed by RR Films.malati-mangale-teaser-1775805446.png
