LB Tamang announces candidacy for Central Secretary to build a strong, capable, and transparent ECAN
Kathmandu. LB Tamang, who has been active in the educational consultancy sector for a decade and a half, has announced his candidacy for the post of Central Secretary in the upcoming election of the Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN). Tamang declared his candidacy for the election scheduled to take place on Poush 28.
Having the ability to analyze both the positive and negative aspects of the educational consultancy sector to work for the benefit of all professionals, LB Tamang described his candidacy as a common choice for all ECAN members. "When there is an election, there might be one or two groups, but my candidacy is for the benefit of all ECAN colleagues," he said.
"I have entered the election by embracing the legacy of ECAN's history and preparing a roadmap for the future based on the current situation." Tamang stated that his candidacy aims to protect the declining reputation of ECAN and make it a shared institution for all educational consultancy professionals.
He claimed that he decided to run for the Secretary post to put into practice the lessons he learned while participating in various ECAN activities during his 15 years in the business. "My candidacy is to use the experience and learning I gained in the past for the rights of all educational consultants and to make this an institution that professionals can be proud of," Tamang said.
He argued that his agenda includes creating an environment where every professional can work with self-respect at a time when the professionalism, ethics, and honesty of the sector are being attacked. He also aims to make government monitoring and regulation more business-friendly and law-friendly, while improving relationships not just with students going abroad, but also with parents and foreign missions.
Stating that he will play an active role in institutional responsibility, stability, business promotion, and building strong relationships between students and parents, Tamang pledged to work for good governance, transparency, economy, accountability, and a tech-friendly ECAN. He urged all ECAN members for their support and cooperation.
"My candidacy is to make ECAN governed by transparency, accountability, and technology. I believe in work. I am committed to working as a common Secretary for ECAN members across all regions and geographies of the country, not just those in the capital," Tamang said. His main slogan is: "Strong, Capable, and Transparent ECAN, Upliftment for All Professionals!"
In the ECAN election on Poush 28, there is expected to be a competition between the current First Vice President Andrew Poudel and General Secretary Deepak Raj Bhusal.
