Lalitpur Metropolitan City's Work is Praiseworthy: Home Minister Gurung
Kathmandu. Home Minister Sudan Gurung stated that the work done by Lalitpur Metropolitan City is praiseworthy and exemplary.
Speaking on Wednesday at the inauguration program of 'smart street lights' installed by Lalitpur Metropolis from Balkumari to Balkhu, he emphasized that the Ministry of Home Affairs can also learn from the work Lalitpur Metropolis has carried out with fresh thinking, stressing the need to continue such innovations.
He shared that he entered politics with the objective of bringing positive change to the country. He expressed his commitment to treat citizens equally without discriminating based on political parties or beliefs.
He noted that Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have made significant contributions to the preservation of Nepal's art, culture, and traditions.
He mentioned that some of the systems currently being implemented by the Ministry of Home Affairs were already put into execution by Lalitpur Metropolitan City three years ago.
"Whatever work Lalitpur Metropolis does is innovative. The system currently being implemented by the Ministry of Home Affairs was executed by the metropolis three years ago. We have become outdated," he said.
He added that if all bodies worked as effectively as Lalitpur Metropolis, the country could be made more prosperous and well-managed.
