'Lalibazar' in its Third Week: Video of Swastima and Prasansha Released

Kathmandu. The crowd of audiences watching the Nepali film 'Lalibazar', which is screening in its third week, remains the same. On the Friday and Saturday of the third week, the crowd of audiences increased in most of the shows received by the film, and the shows were housefull. 

Meanwhile, the production company Shatkon Arts has released a scene from the film. Actress Swastima Khadka and debutant actress Prasansha Subedi are featured in this scene, which comes at a crucial time in the film.

The dialogue between a mother and a daughter is presented in the nearly 1-minute-49-second-long scene. When this scene appears in the theater, most of the audiences get teary-eyed. 

Actor Rabindra Singh Baniya stated that families are coming to the theaters to watch the film. Actor Baniya, who collected feedback while meeting audiences directly across Nepal along with the Kathmandu Valley, said that the audience liked the message given by the film along with the entertainment.

He said, "I returned after meeting audiences in major cities across Nepal, and we feel that the audiences who came trusting us felt their time and money were well utilized upon returning. The film depicted the importance of education through the story of a mother and daughter, which the general audience understood well. There are no words to express the love given by the audience in the third week, today Saturday we are meeting audiences by visiting various halls in the Kathmandu Valley."

According to actor Baniya, the team including actress Swastima Khadka will visit various halls within the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday to give a surprise to the audience. 

The production side has already informed that the film, prepared under the writing and direction of Yam Thapa, has made a gross collection of 52.5 million rupees in two weeks. The production side is confident that the film will cross the 60 million mark by the end of this weekend.

The audience has praised the subject matter, directorial aspect, and lifelike acting of the artists of 'Lalibazar' open-heartedly. Most people coming out after watching the film reacted that their eyes became teary and they connected with the mother's struggle. The 'word of mouth' being given by the audience has made the third week's weekend pleasant for the film.

The film's trailer is at number 2 on YouTube's movie chart. This indicates that the audience's interest in the film is increasing and it will do even better business in the coming days. Even though it has been a long time of one month since the trailer was released, its trailer is at number 1 with 2.2 million views.

The film stars Swastima Khadka, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Samaira Thapa, Mukunda Kumar Shrestha, Abhay Baral, Prem Pandey, Asha Paudel, Govinda Sunar, Abha Aryal, Tara Sharma, Ramesh Wadi, Saraswoti Adhikari, Janaki Kathayat, Nischal Panthi, Birbal Chaudhary, Kuntal, among others. Bishal Devkota and Prasansha Subedi are debuting through this film.

Bishal is an artist working in theater, while Prasansha is popular as a Gen Z actress. The screenplay and dialogues of the film 'Lalibazar', prepared on the story and direction of director Yam Thapa, have been jointly prepared by director Thapa and director Pradeep Bhattarai.
