Celebrities Praise 'Lalibazar' at Special Screening, Call It a Must-Watch

Artists have praised the movie Lalibazar, which is currently running in its second week, during a special screening. The attending artists openly appreciated the movie's theme, direction, and the realistic acting of the actors. After watching the movie at Jai Nepal Hall in Kathmandu on Monday evening, actor and director Neer Shah said that they received a gift that will be remembered for years.

He said that the makers have given a movie to remember for many years to come and thanked them for this gift. He mentioned that he got to watch a good movie based on a truly Nepali story. He added that he exited the hall with more than the expectations he had entered with. He specifically noted that Swastima's performance in this movie is far above her previous works, and from now on, her competition will be with herself.

He stated that in the future, she will have to act even better to beat her character Madhubala. He also praised the work of new actors Bishal and Prasansha, saying all characters feel alive and make the audience feel like they are in that very world.

Actor Shah requested everyone to form an opinion about Lalibazar only after watching it. Actress Priyanka Karki said that the movie's story and the acting of the artists keep the audience hooked. She mentioned that as time passes while watching the movie, the screenplay flows smoothly, and the actors deliver equally powerful performances. She added that while watching the movie, one does not feel like leaving or using a mobile phone because it keeps you engaged. She also said the climax of the movie is even more powerful, making it a must-watch film.

Actress Barsha Raut said that Shatkon Arts always creates movies by understanding the audience's choice. She mentioned that she has worked a lot with Shatkon Arts and they work closely with the taste and understanding of the viewers. She noted that the movie is made in such a way that both general audiences and critics will like it. She added that they have presented a social issue so beautifully in the movie that it has turned out wonderful, and people should not miss it.

Khem Century, the singer and composer of the popular song 'Mayalai Ke Diu Ma Baina' included in the movie, shared that his eyes filled with tears while watching the film.

He said that the movie is much better than the ongoing buzz about it. He added that the movie does not target or look down upon any community anywhere, but instead shows what a mother can do to protect her child. He mentioned that there would be very few eyes that do not tear up while watching this film. He stated that he became a fan of everyone, including actress Swastima, and felt proud to be a part of such an excellent movie.

Actress Swastima Khadka said that she and the entire team are excited by the response they are receiving from the audience and artists. She mentioned that they have done premieres and special screenings, and are also meeting audiences by visiting halls in both Kathmandu and outside areas. She said that the response from everyone is the same. She added that everyone is satisfied, from the artists who understand cinema to the audience who come to the hall for entertainment, and that this is their true success.

Actress Khadka said that starting Tuesday, the Lalibazar team will start their tour outside Kathmandu again from Birtamod to meet eastern audiences and get their feedback. According to her, the team will split up to meet audiences in halls across Kathmandu and outside cities. Previously, the Lalibazar team had already met audiences in Nepalgunj, Surkhet, Butwal, Chitwan, and Pokhara.
