‘Laalibazaar’ Team Heading Outside the Valley to Meet the Audience

The team of the film ‘Laalibazaar’, which has been screening across Nepal since Baisakh 25, is set to reach Surkhet and Nepalgunj to meet the audience. The team, including actress Swastima Khadka, actor Rabindra Singh Baniya, director Yam Thapa, and executive producer and screenwriter Pradeep Bhattarai, is starting its provincial tour from Surkhet.

‘Laalibazaar’, which has been receiving praise from viewers and celebrities alike, has recently been attracting families to the theaters. Activists from the Badi community have also been praising the film on social media after watching it.

Executive producer Pradeep Bhattarai stated that the team, which has been visiting various cinema halls in the Kathmandu Valley since the release day, will now spend a few days interacting directly with audiences outside the valley.

He said, “We cannot express the love we are receiving from the audience in words. We have been meeting viewers in the Kathmandu Valley since the opening day, and now we will collect feedback by meeting audiences in the provinces. We believe this journey will help us understand the audience's reaction directly.”

He mentioned that the journey starting from Surkhet will pass through Nepalgunj and reach other cities as well. “We will visit various cities to give the audience a surprise; they will get to interact with us at the end of the film,” he added.

Viewers have commented that the film has further increased the importance of mothers and the responsibility toward daughters. Many expressed that they could not hold back tears regarding the story of a single mother’s struggle to educate her daughter. Like the first day, the production team continued visiting various halls in the valley on the second day, Saturday.

Debut actor Bishal Devkota, who visited the halls with actress Khadka, received feedback from the audience for his “great acting.” Viewers called out to him in the halls by the name of his character, ‘Narayan.’ Debut actress Prashansha Subedi stated that viewers of all ages are showing love for the film. Known as a Gen-Z activist and content creator, Prashansha plays the role of Swastima's daughter in the movie.

Director and writer Yam Thapa said that any speculations about the film would be cleared after watching it. He mentioned that the entire family can enjoy the film together comfortably.

The film features performances by Swastima Khadka, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Samaira Thapa, Mukunda Kumar Shrestha, Abhay Baral, Prem Pandey, Pradeep Dhakal, Asha Poudel, Govinda Sunar, Abha Aryal, Tara Sharma, Ramesh Badi, Saraswati Adhikari, Janaki Kadayat, Nischal Panthi, and Birbal Chaudhary, among others.
