Urgent Notice from Kathmandu Police: Victims of Burned Case Files During Protests Urged to Contact with Documents

Kathmandu. The Kathmandu District Police Complex has issued an extremely urgent notice requesting victims/petitioners/complainants related to case files currently under investigation that were destroyed by fire and vandalism during protests in the Kathmandu Valley and other areas on Bhadra 23 and 24, 2082 B.S. ( September 8 and 9) at police units to contact them as soon as possible with their documents.

The Kathmandu District Police Complex, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Nepal, released a press statement on 2082.07.27 B.S. ( November 14, 2025), stating that significant investigation documents were burned and destroyed due to the damage incurred at police offices during the protests.

The statement, issued by Police Superintendent (SP) Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, the Complex's Information Officer, requests all victims/petitioners/complainants whose cases were under investigation during that period to contact the relevant Police Circle or the Kathmandu District Police Complex with the documents, evidence, and other details they possess.
