Koshi Barrage Urges Government to Expand Fiber Internet Service
Koshi Barrage, through a Facebook post, has urged the Prime Minister's Office, Nepal Telecom, and the government to urgently expand the government-operated FTTH fiber internet service in their area, which has not yet been implemented.
The post highlighted that a reliable fiber internet connection is crucial for safety during floods and other disasters.
Currently, the water level in Koshi Barrage is extremely high and dangerous, and 56 gates have been opened for safety reasons.
In such conditions, a strong internet network helps the community receive emergency alerts quickly, share updates, and stay connected.
Koshi Barrage has requested the government to prioritize this for the safety and progress of the region.
