‘Koshedhunga’ Film Intensifies Publicity with Release of Emotional Lyrical Poem
Kathmandu — The highly anticipated Nepali film Koshedhunga, set to release on August 28, has ramped up its publicity efforts by unveiling a lyrical poem. The poem, which captures themes of love, devotion, separation, pain, dreams, and determination, is narrated by the film’s lead actress, Surakshya Panta. The lyrical video features selected film footage and still photos, providing an emotional glimpse into the storyline.
The poem portrays broken dreams, lives bound by compromise, trust in relationships, and the anticipation of families waiting for loved ones. According to director Saroj Paudel, while the poem hints at the plot, the complete story will be gradually revealed in installments.
Alongside the poem, the production team has released three new posters. The first poster features Surakshya Panta, Aryan Sigdel, Praveen Khatiwada, Manzil Kumar, Niti Shah, Richa Sharma, and Dinesh Kafle. The second poster shows Praveen Khatiwada, Dinesh Kafle, and Jhaken B.C., while the third poster depicts a pair — Surakshya Panta carrying a heavy load and Manzil Kumar looking at someone.
Previously, the production team had released the romantic song Bhangera Bhageri and earlier Natra Bhane Jindagi Byartha Cha, both of which have gained popularity on TikTok. Directed by Purna Bahadurko Sarangi’s Saroj Paudel, Koshedhunga stars Surakshya Panta, Aryan Sigdel, Richa Sharma, Manzil Kumar, Niti Shah, Praveen Khatiwada, Saroj Khanal, Bishal Pahadi, Hiuwala Gautam, Dinesh Kafle, Lokmani Sapkota, among others.
Presented by Nardevi Films in collaboration with Sarangi Films, the film is produced by Previl Kandel and Kishor Anurag, with Dinesh Khadka as the executive producer. The cinematography is by Babu Shrestha, editing by Nahkul Khadka, music by Ashish Aviral, Khem Century, and Rhythm Kandel, and casting by Suwal Mani Sapkota.
Koshedhunga will be released simultaneously in Nepal and more than 42 other countries. Its international distribution is handled by Patrick Subedi and Ramesh Dhakal of Seven Seas International. According to the production team, with its unprecedented simultaneous release in so many countries, Koshedhunga is expected to take Nepali cinema to new heights on the global stage.
