Kathmandu Road Sections Partially Open, Traffic Resumes
Kathmandu, October 5 – Due to continuous rainfall over the past two days, traffic on the Prithvi Highway from Kathmandu, the road to Nuwakot, and the route via Dakshinkali to Hetauda had been completely halted.
However, with weather gradually improving, landslide clearance work on the Dhading, Nuwakot, and Kathmandu–Dakshinkali road sections is progressing rapidly. According to the Kathmandu District Administration Office, preparations are underway to allow one-way traffic on cleared sections.
The District Administration Offices of Dhading, Chitwan, Makwanpur, and Nuwakot have also reported that traffic resumption is in progress. Considering the passenger flow, these roads have now been opened for one-way movement.
Authorities have requested drivers to exercise caution and strictly follow the directions of deployed security personnel, traffic signals, and other instructions while traveling.
