Kathmandu Metropolitan City Demolishes Illegal Structures at Thapathali Ram Mandir Complex

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has run a bulldozer over the illegal structures constructed within the premises of the Ram Mandir (Temple) in Thapathali.
The structures, which were built by encroaching on the heritage area illegally, were demolished by the KMC today.
According to the Metropolitan City, the structures were knocked down because they were constructed within the heritage site and were being illegally rented out.
The KMC also stated that it plans to remove such structures built in heritage areas to make the sites open and well-organized.
