Kalimati Fruit and Vegetable Market Traders Provide Support

Kathmandu: The Joint Traders Association of Kalimati Vegetable and Fruit Wholesale Market has provided financial assistance to Gita Chaudhary, Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, and Environment, for the relief and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the floods in Rasuwa.

The traders handed over a total of NPR 854,300 to Minister Chaudhary. They provided the amount with the objective of supporting the relief and rehabilitation efforts for the families impacted by the Rasuwa floods.

Upon receiving the donation, Minister Chaudhary expressed her gratitude to the agricultural traders for their support during this difficult time of disaster. Stating that the government stands alongside citizens affected by floods and landslides, she highlighted the need for collaboration among all sectors in relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts.

Previously, the traders had also provided relief materials—including 90 sacks of potatoes, 30 bags of chayote (ishkus), 10 bags of cucumbers, and 80 bags of pumpkins—for families affected by the Bhote Koshi floods.
