'Kaji's' Love Story Will Be Talked About: Bipin Karki
The upcoming Nepali movie 'Kaji', which is scheduled to release on Jestha 8, is currently making headlines. As excitement grows among the audience following the release of the movie's trailer and songs, actor Bipin Karki shared insights about the film's story, his character, and his acting experience.
Bipin mentioned that 'Kaji' is a love story in a completely different style compared to his previous projects. According to him, the movie's story was initially different, but the production team approached him again later with a new script.
He said, "At first, we agreed to move forward with a different story for 'Kaji'. Later, the team changed, and the story was rewritten. The current story has a fresh flavor, which I really liked."
According to Bipin, the film does not limit love to grand dialogues or emotional expressions, but instead finds it in the small gestures and relationships of daily life. He added that the understanding between husband and wife, sacrifices, and the feeling of living happily together are at the center of the movie.
He said, "Love shows itself even in the smallest things. Finding your own happiness in your wife's happiness and making sacrifices for each other—'Kaji' beautifully presents these subtle emotions."
He explained that the film explores love through the practical aspects of daily life rather than just dialogues. "It is not just about grand romantic gestures; love exists in small daily actions too. This is what 'Kaji' highlights minutely," he said. "I think after watching the movie, the audience will say 'The love between Kaji and Kajini is true love'."
Bipin also shared that since he is married in real life, it was not very difficult for him to understand the character.
He felt a close connection between the character of Kaji and his own life. "I am a husband myself. Therefore, I experience these emotions in my own life. I did not need to do as much preparation as I did for some other films," he said.
He mentioned that the film is set before the year 2050 BS, and his character is a young man carrying the legacy of the 'Kaji clan'. Describing him as a deeply in-love character who does not care much about the outside world, Bipin noted that he had never played such a role before, making it a challenging and new experience.
Speaking about his acting, Bipin mentioned that he tries to make every character distinct. Acknowledging that audience expectations increase his responsibility, he said he will continue his efforts to present better work.
Stating that the trailer and songs are receiving positive feedback from the audience, he claimed that viewers will find a different taste in 'Kaji' compared to current Nepali movies. He added that the song 'Wari Bara Pari Pipalu' is especially going viral on TikTok, which is creating a positive buzz for the movie.
He mentioned that social media and digital platforms have greatly helped in movie promotion, adding that a good story, strong presentation, and teamwork are the main elements that draw audiences to theaters.
The movie also stars Keki Adhikari. According to Bipin, the director, producer, and the entire cast and crew have worked honestly and hard.
He urged the audience to watch 'Kaji', expressing confidence that the movie will not disappoint them. "This is a story of every household. The audience will be able to connect themselves with the characters. It is a movie with a different perspective among the films releasing these days," he said.
Directed by Laxman Rijal, the movie stars Bipin and Keki alongside Garima Sharma, Prakash Ghimire, Hemant Budhathoki, Bishal Pahari, Binod Neupane, Rashmi Bhatta, Hiwala Gautam, and others. The film, written by Pradeep Bharadwaj, is presented by Ram Prasad Rijal.
Produced under the banner of Rijal and Rijal Production, Nehan Rijal and Bikash Raj Joshi are the producers of the film. 'Kaji' features cinematography by Chintan Rajbhandari, music by Kali Prasad Baskota, and editing by Bipin Malla. Shreeram Balaji Films has taken the responsibility of distributing the movie.
