Filming of Movie ‘Jooba’ Begins, 75-Day Shooting Schedule

Kathmandu. The filming of the movie ‘Jooba’ has commenced. Presented by Astra Films, the shooting of the movie started in Sarlahi.

Following an auspicious inauguration on Wednesday, the filming began and will continue for seven days in Sarlahi. Along with Sarlahi and Kathmandu, the movie will also be shot in Rajasthan, India. The 75-day shooting schedule makes it clear that this movie will offer a full cinematic feel. The locations and shooting days further confirm that the film is being shot on a large canvas.

Saugat Malla plays the lead role in ‘Jooba’. Written and directed by Prakash Karna, the screenplay and writing are by Barsha Paudel. Both Director Karna and Writer Barsha serve as creative producers.

Actress Sophie Dharel is set to make her debut with this film. Alongside Saugat and Sophie, Sudhan Pokharel is another actor in a lead role. This is his third movie. Previously, he has worked in two films, but this is his first movie in a lead role.

Produced by Rock Castle Studio, three character posters were already released following the announcement of the film.

One poster featured Saugat Malla alone, standing in front of a camera and offering a 'Namaste' to it.

In another poster, he was seen standing at a PCO talking on the phone. The landline phone and the appearance of both him and Sophie suggested that the movie tells a story from two decades ago. In this, Sophie appeared somewhat angry while Saugat was talking on the phone.

Another poster featured Sudhan, who plays the antagonist. His look, featuring him smoking a cigar, made it clear that he is in the role of a dangerous villain.

The production team has not disclosed anything regarding the story, other actors, or other aspects of the movie.
