Jhulaghat Border Point in Baitadi to Remain Closed for Three Days Ahead of Elections
Baitadi – The Jhulaghat border point in Baitadi will remain closed for three days in view of the upcoming elections.
According to Chief District Officer Krishna Thapa, the border will be sealed 72 hours prior to voting. The checkpoint will remain closed from 12:00 midnight on Falgun 18 until 12:00 midnight on Falgun 21.
To ensure free and fair elections, security vigilance has been intensified along the border connected to India. Monitoring has been tightened through Armed Police Force Border Outposts.
Similarly, movement by boats across the Mahakali River in the Tallosorad area will also be suspended during this period.
