‘Jhingedau 2’ Song Recording Completed, Filming to Begin After Dashain

Kathmandu – The first song of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Jhingedau 2’, directed by Gyanendra Deuja, has been recorded. On Wednesday, the song titled “Aajalai Nai Nabhana” was recorded in the voices of popular singer Shanti Shree Pariyar and singer Basanta Thapa.

Basanta Thapa, who previously lent his voice to the popular song ‘Cha Maya Chhapakkai’, is singing in a Nepali film for the second time. The lyrics, composition, and arrangement of the song are all done by music director Arjun Pokharel. This is the first collaboration between Thapa and Pokharel.

Earlier, Shanti Shree Pariyar, director Deuja, and composer Pokharel had worked together on the hit song ‘Aago Bina Bidi Jaldaina’ from the first installment of Jhingedau. As that song became a hit, director Deuja considers Pariyar his "lucky charm" and has teamed up with her again for the sequel.

According to the production team, all pre-production work, including song recordings, will be completed within the next 10 days, and filming will begin right after the Dashain and Tihar festivals.

Director Deuja confirmed that ‘Jhingedau 2’ is a complete sequel, with the story continuing from where the first part ended. Key cast members from the original film—including Keki Adhikari, Aanchal Sharma, Mukun Bhushal, and Kushal Bisht—will return in the sequel. In addition, one new actor and one new actress will be introduced.

The film is being produced under the banner of Kapan Gadhi Cinema Pvt. Ltd., with Shulav Pratik Deuja and Samikshya Deuja serving as producers. Ishwar Ghimire is the production head. Bishnu Kalpit will handle cinematography, Arjun Pokharel will compose the music, Roshan Shrestha will direct the action sequences, and Mitra D. Gurung will take charge of editing.
