Janakpur Market Closed, Resignation of Home Minister Demanded

Janakpur — Janakpurdham's market has been shut down following a call by the Hindu Samrat Sena.

Local Hindu youth in Janakpurdham enforced the market closure. Demonstrators burned tires at major intersections and demanded the resignation of the Home Minister in protest of the Sunsari incident.

They marched through the streets enforcing the shutdown while chanting slogans such as "Establish a Hindu Nation,""Stop the killing of Hindus," and "Abolish the Muslim Commission."

The entire Janakpurdham market has come to a complete standstill. A large presence of police personnel and military forces has been deployed at every major intersection. The market closure has severely impacted the daily lives of the general public.
