Irregularities Exposed at Gandaki University, Gen Z Youths Demand Answers from Chancellor and Registrar
Pokhara — Gen Z youths have vehemently objected to the irregularities and corruption that have flourished at Gandaki University since its establishment, which is operated under the Gandaki Provincial Government.
Following the public disclosure of details concerning irregular expenditures, familial appointments, and unfair distribution of benefits within the university, the youths have demanded direct answers from the Chancellor and the Registrar.
Youth activists including Bijay Parajuli, Nirdosh Bikram Paudel, Prakash Bastola, and Diphan Bhujel publicly questioned the Registrar in front of journalists, demanding transparency and accountability from the university. They have also accused the university officials of distributing posts, facilities, and financial benefits at various levels to profit themselves and their family members.
According to the activists, favoritism, based on family ties and close relationships, has been involved in the distribution of posts, benefits, and financial gains, ranging from international conferences organized in the name of the university to appointments.
The youths stated that the incident raises a serious question mark over the province's educational institutions and have demanded a thorough investigation and action.-1760503722.jpg)
