Second India–Nepal Tourism Mart Begins Destination Promotion
Pokhara: Under the Second India–Nepal Tourism Mart, destination promotion programs have begun with the participation of Indian tour operators and social media professionals.
To make Pokhara Tourism Year 2025 successful and increase the number of Indian and foreign tourists, destination promotion has been initiated in collaboration with Pokhara Tourism Year 2025, Pokhara Tourism Council, Ministry of Industry and Tourism, Gandaki Province, Pokhara Metropolitan City, and Nepal Tourism Board.
The team of Indian tour operators and media professionals was welcomed at the Sunauli border by a team led by General Secretary of Pokhara Tourism Council, Jeevanraj Sapkota, and brought via land route to Sauraha in Chitwan.
According to General Secretary Sapkota, the Indian team was welcomed by the Hotel Association Nepal, Chitwan, and interactions were held regarding tourism partnerships and related topics.
During the interaction, central member of Hotel Association Nepal Suman Ghimire, tourism entrepreneur Basu Dhungana, Nepal Tourism Board’s Prem Bhattarai, and Abhishek Sankrit from Sankrut Tours India spoke on the potential of tourism partnerships between Nepal and India. A promotional video of Sauraha was also presented on this occasion.
According to General Secretary Sapkota, the Indian promotional team will visit Bandipur in Tanahun and Begnas on Poush 1, Parbat and Baglung on Poush 2, and Pumdikot in Pokhara on Poush 3 to participate in the mart at Hotel Pokhara Grand. The team will return to India via the Sunauli border through Palpa on Poush 4.
