Ilam: Filming of Nepali Movie 'Maijharo' Officially Begins in Eastern Hill District

The filming of the Nepali movie Maijharo officially began on the 1st of Shrawan in Ilam, an eastern hill district of Nepal. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Wilson Bikram Rai, popularly known as ‘Takme Budha’.
The shooting will take place at various locations in Ilam and Panchthar districts. Director Rai shared that the film is based on the lifestyle, culture, and social realities of the eastern hills. He has written the story and screenplay in addition to directing the film himself.
The film features actors Dhiraj Magar, Miruna Magar, Diya Pun, Sunil Thapa, Kabita Ale, Pushkar Gurung, Abhayraj Baral, Uday Subba, Buddhi Tamang, Rajani Gurung, Bishal Limbu, and Subash Singh Thakuri, among others.
The music for the film will be composed by Anmol Gurung and Toremba Hang Rai. The vocal performances will be provided by singers Rajesh Payal Rai, Asmita Adhikari, Jhuma Limbu, and Anmol Gurung. The cinematography is being handled by Saurabh Lama.
Maijharo is the first feature film being produced under the banner of Takme Production. Until now, the company had only been producing comedy and musical content. With Maijharo, the company is taking its first step into feature film production.
