Himalayan Everest Pays Nearly NPR 22 Crore to Gen G Movement Insurance Claimants

Kathmandu: Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited has initiated the process of prompt claim payments for properties damaged during the Gen G movement on September 8 and 9.
So far, out of 287 claims filed through Himalayan Everest Insurance, 245 claims have been settled, amounting to NPR 21,74,45,831 (NPR 21.74 crore).
The company stated that this payment includes both advance and final claim settlements for properties damaged during the Gen G movement. Claim Department Head, Roj Raj Luitel, mentioned that the company is committed to providing simple and smooth claim settlements in accordance with regulatory provisions.
The company further stated that the high-priority claim settlement process will resume from Tuesday, the 21st.
Himalayan Everest Insurance has accelerated the claim payment process considering the challenging circumstances, aiming to provide insured customers with financial relief and support.
This effort is intended to ensure economic relief and protection for policyholders during difficult situations.
Additionally, the company has requested remaining policyholders who have pending claims to submit the required documents and complete the process by contacting the nearest branch or the central office at their convenience.
Expressing condolences to martyrs who lost their lives during the movement, the company also wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
