Hetauda Cement Industry Halts Production Due to Coal Shortage
Hetauda Cement Industry has suspended its production activities since this morning after running out of coal used as fuel. The government-owned industry, which had resumed operations only about a month ago, was forced to stop work following the depletion of its coal stock.
According to the industry administration, a tender has already been invited for the supply of 3,000 metric tons of required coal. Assistant Manager Bikas Shrestha informed that the coal is expected to arrive within the next two weeks. The industry stated that a new schedule for regular production will be set only after testing the quality of the delivered coal.
