Former King Gyanendra Arrives in Janakpur
Janakpur – Former King Gyanendra Shah has arrived in Janakpur. Shah reached Janakpur on Sunday evening via road at around 6:30 PM, according to Shravan Kumar Jha, coordinator of the National Democratic Party’s Welcome Ceremony Committee in Dhanusha.
Accompanying him was former Queen Komal and Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah, who also arrived in Janakpur.
According to the coordinator, the former king and queen are scheduled to perform religious rituals at Ram Mandir and Janaki Mandir in Janakpur at 3 PM today. Following the rituals, they plan to stay overnight in Janakpur.
A few days ago, during a political rally organized by the Rastriya Swatantra Party in Janakpur, leaders including former Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) and Ravi Lamichhane were present. At that time, former King Gyanendra’s son, Paras Shah, also stayed at the same hotel.
