Global Money Week 2026 to be Celebrated with the Slogan 'Smart Money Talks'
Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank is set to celebrate Global Money Week 2026 from March 16 to 22 (Chaitra 2 to 8) with the slogan "Smart Money Talks." This year, Nepal Rastra Bank will once again organize the event while serving as the National Coordinator.
According to the central bank, there will be active participation from banks, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders integrated within the financial system. This marks the fourteenth edition of Global Money Week.
Since 2012, this campaign has been conducted annually worldwide under the coordination of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), with the aim of enhancing financial literacy among children and youth and developing financial knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes.
To date, this campaign has reached more than 70 million children and youth across 176 countries. Nepal Rastra Bank has urged all organizations active in promoting financial literacy, educational institutions, and stakeholders to participate in the campaign and celebrate Global Money Week 2026 grandly.
Furthermore, organizations have been requested to provide information regarding their programs via email to the Financial Inclusion and Consumer Protection Division under the Governor's Office of Nepal Rastra Bank.
