Actor Deepak Raj Giri Supports Removal of Political Student Unions

The government led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah has decided to remove party-affiliated student organizations from universities and introduce 'Student Councils.' While traditional political parties are protesting this move, actor Deepak Raj Giri has expressed his open support.

Recalling his own past involvement in student politics, Giri commented that instead of producing good students or leaders, party-affiliated organizations only taught 'party loyalty' rather than 'patriotism.'

"I also engaged in student politics, but it neither made me a good leader nor a good student," he said. Prime Minister Shah has also expressed the sentiment that students should listen to their teachers rather than political leaders. Currently, Giri is busy with his new film, 'Chha Maya Chhapakkai 2.'
