Ghising Assures Siraha-Dhanusha Connectivity; Bridge Work to Resume
Janakpur. Energy, Physical Infrastructure, and Urban Development Minister Kulman Ghising stated that the Kamala Bridge, which connects Siraha and Dhanusha, must be completed at any cost.
Speaking to media personnel in Janakpurdham after coming to inspect the Kamala Bridge, Minister Ghising emphasized that the construction of the Kamala Bridge must happen.
He informed that today he will inspect the bridge, understand its actual condition, and then proceed with the necessary work.
He mentioned that they will consider all aspects to determine whether they can immediately repair and move forward with the existing bridge or if a complete reconstruction is required.
He stated that even if a new bridge needs to be built, they will build it, but they will ensure the bridge is operational at any cost.
Minister Ghising and his team arrived in Janakpurdham yesterday. He is scheduled to go to Siraha today to inspect the Kamala Bridge.
Earlier today, he inspected the under-construction Shree Ram Janaki Multi-Purpose International Stadium ground in Janakpurdham with Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta.
The Kamala Bridge, which connects Siraha and Dhanusha, had collapsed (or sunk/caved in) even before its construction was completed.
Due to the lack of a bridge, residents of both districts are compelled to travel a roundabout distance of about 90 kilometers.
