Construction of Gen-Z Memorial Tower in Dailesimal, Pyuthan

A ‘Gen-Z Memorial Tower’ has been constructed in Pyuthan. The tower was built in Dailesimal, Pyuthan Municipality-3, Bijayanagar, in honor of the Gen-Z movement.

The site is being developed as a war tourism destination. The tower, which serves as a symbol of the youth who fought for change on Bhadra 23 and 24, features a blood-stained shoe and an ‘Inqalab’ (revolutionary) clenched fist. A replica of the national flag has also been installed at the site.

Sumanraj Shrestha, the ward chairperson of Pyuthan Municipality-3, stated that efforts are being made to develop Dailesimal as a war tourism destination, and the tower was established there to honor the Gen-Z movement.

A sacrifice pillar (Balidan Stambha) has also been placed in Dailesimal in memory of 14 people from Pyuthan Municipality and five people from other districts who died within the municipality during the 10-year armed conflict.

Additionally, the site features a statue of a female People's Liberation Army fighter carrying a weapon in one hand and a nursing infant in the other, a statue of the international communist leader Mao tshetung, and a waiting lounge.
