Gaur Municipality Ranked Best in Rautahat in Performance Evaluation

Rautahat. Gaur Municipality of Rautahat has been declared the best in the district in the performance evaluation for the fiscal year 2081/082 published by the National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission. Based on evaluation across 17 different indicators, Gaur secured the first position among the 18 local levels of the district by obtaining 66.17 points.

According to the Commission's report, Rajpur Municipality ranked second with 59.96 points, and Baudhimai Municipality ranked third with 59.74 points. Ishanath (59.59), Maulapur (58.97), Paroha (57.14), Rajdevi (52.51), Madhav Narayan (52.40), and Chandrapur Municipality (50.90) are in the middle positions. 

Gujara (48.73), Gadhimai (46.20), Yamunamai (46.06), Garuda (43.84), Katahariya (43.75), Durga Bhagwati (42.60), Phatuwa Vijayapur (35.41), and Brindaban (31.69) obtained these scores in the performance evaluation.

Subhash Kumar Thakur, the Chief Administrative Officer of Gaur Municipality, called this success a shared achievement of the city residents and stated that it has provided additional energy for good governance and service delivery. He also expressed a commitment to prioritize transparency and accountability further in the coming days.

The Commission provided these scores based on 17 important indicators such as budget and revenue management of the local levels, auditing, service delivery, education, health (vaccination and maternal health), revenue mobilization, planning, and arrears management.
