General Assembly of Foreign Employment Protection Association Gandaki Province Concluded
Pokhara. The 12th General Assembly of the Foreign Employment Protection Association, Gandaki Province, has concluded. Organized with the aim of promoting the rights, welfare, and protection of workers in foreign employment, the program featured Pradip Dhakal, an officer from the Labor Employment Office Kaski, who praised the association's role in minimizing problems, fraud, and risks faced by workers during foreign employment.
Expressing his view that cooperation between the government, stakeholder bodies, and the association should be further strengthened in the coming days, he stated that such programs are extremely important for institutionally advancing safe, dignified, and legal foreign employment.
Speakers at the program discussed the initiatives, rescues, counseling, and awareness activities conducted in favor of workers since the association's establishment and expressed their commitment to continuous support and cooperation in the future.
Emphasizing the need to further empower the organization by strengthening cooperation among entrepreneurs, the association's president, Sujan Shrestha, urged all entrepreneurs to make the foreign employment business dignified and responsible.
An "Endowment Fund" has been established with the goal of strengthening the association's long-term objectives. It was stated that programs related to relief, support, and rehabilitation for workers and their families who face problems during foreign employment will be operated through this fund in the future.
The program was jointly conducted by the association's Senior Vice President Rabiraj Ghimire and General Secretary Dhiraj, while the welcome speech was delivered by Secretary Laxman Parajuli.
