Kathmandu Administration Calls for Relief Materials for Flood Victims
Kathmandu: The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has urged individuals and organizations to provide relief materials for citizens affected by floods in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading districts.
Issuing a notice on Friday, the office appealed to organizations, companies, clubs, individuals, and citizens within Kathmandu district who are willing to provide essential relief materials for flood victims.
The administration stated that the floods on Bhadra 10 caused significant damage in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and other areas along riverbanks. It said that it is collecting food supplies, clothing, utensils, and other essential household items that are urgently needed by the affected communities.
The relief materials collected in Kathmandu will be gathered at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, under a single-window system.
The materials will then be managed and distributed to affected citizens in coordination with and under the direction of the security agencies of the respective districts, Kathmandu-based security agencies directly involved in relief and rescue operations, and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
According to the notice, Sujan Kumari Bardewa, Administrative Officer at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has been designated as the contact person for coordination regarding relief collection.
