Five Arrested with Illegal Drugs

Kathmandu – Five individuals have been arrested in possession of illegal drugs.

Police arrested 20-year-old Sandesh Yadav, a resident of Mirchaiya Municipality-5, Siraha, on Tuesday from Bhiman, Kamalamai Municipality-9, Sindhuli, with 45 grams and 190 milligrams of a substance that resembles brown heroin.

A police team deployed from the Narcotic Drug Control Bureau Branch Office in Bardibas arrested Yadav after finding the substance on him while he was traveling toward Kathmandu from Mahottari in a HiAce microbus with registration number Madhesh Pradesh 05-001 Ja 0086.

Additionally, police arrested 20-year-old Rahul Kumar Mandal, a resident of Kamala Municipality-7, Dhanusha, and 20-year-old Abhishek Kumar Sah, a resident of Kalyanpur Municipality-6, Siraha. They were riding a motorcycle with registration number Ba.Pra.02-046 Pa 4853 and were involved in the drug transaction.

Similarly, police arrested two individuals on Tuesday morning from Bhiman, Kamalamai Municipality-9, Sindhuli, along with 820 milligrams of a brown heroin-like substance and 1,430 tablets of the controlled drug Tramadol. The arrestees have been identified as 30-year-old Bikas Dahal, residing in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-6, Sunsari, and 24-year-old Sagar Karki, residing in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-17.

A police team deployed from the Narcotic Drug Control Bureau Branch Office in Bardibas apprehended them after finding the drugs in their possession while they were traveling toward Kathmandu from Morang in a HiAce microbus bearing registration number Ba.Pra.01-006 Kha 3712.

Police are conducting further investigations regarding these cases.
