Over 10,000 Case Files Reproduced After Supreme Court Fire

Kathmandu, 22 Poush: More than 10,000 case files destroyed in the Supreme Court fire have now been reproduced. Out of a total of 24,000 case files in the Supreme Court, 20,000 were destroyed by fire during the Janajati agitation on 24 Bhadra. Only 4,000 files were spared from the blaze.

According to Supreme Court spokesperson Nirajan Pandey, as of 21 Poush, 10,340 case files that had been burned have been reproduced with the help of service-providing institutions and the Office of the Attorney General.

The Supreme Court had requested that the reproduced files be made available to the Office of the Attorney General, Nepal Bar Association, and the parties involved in the cases. Efforts to collect the case files are ongoing.
