Enthusiastic Public Participation in Voter Registration Ahead of House of Representatives Election
Kathmandu – With just seven days remaining to register names in the voter list for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, there has been an encouraging turnout of the general public at the District Election Office in Kathmandu.
Although some crowds were seen due to temporary server issues, participants reported that registering in the voter list did not take much time and was not cumbersome. According to service user Ankit Baral, she felt happy to be able to register in the voter list for the first time.
She also stated that, being a Gen Z, she believes future leadership should be youthful, and she is ready to vote. Despite the server issues at the office, she mentioned that she did not have to wait in line for long.
Srijana Rayamajhi, the information officer of the office, informed that the server experienced some pressure and minor problems because voter registration is taking place simultaneously from all 77 districts.
